Adam Gibbons has hit the ground running in his new role as Resident Services Coordinator at South Boston Neighborhood Development Corporation’s O'Connor Way Senior Housing.

On the job since Feb. 22, 2023, he’s learning the ropes and everyone’s names, and kicking his new career path into high gear.

William “Buddy” Heiskell has lived most of his life in South Boston, so when the opportunity arose to live at South Boston NDC’s Patriot Homes, he was thrilled.

John O’Flaherty couldn’t be happier. “I thank my lucky stars every day,” he said about his placement at South Boston NDC’s O’Connor Way Senior Housing.

He has an amazing place to live, a wonderful community, a great group of friends, and an easy rapport with all the residents.

South Boston Neighborhood Development Corporation is seeking a local business owner to open up shop in the former Sweet Tooth Bakery at 369-371 W. Broadway.

South Boston Neighborhood Development Corporation was awarded $5,145,000 from the Mayor’s Office of Housing and the Community Preservation Fund for its McDevitt Senior Homes project.

At its January meeting, the Boston Planning & Development Agency Board of Directors unanimously approved South Boston NDC’s development project at 207 E Street.

The former St. Augustine’s convent will be redeveloped into McDevitt Senior Homes, which will provide 35 units of affordable housing for seniors and one resident manager unit.
