Farmers Market Now Open for 2021 Season

The South Boston Farmers Market kicked off its 2021 season on Monday, June 7, and will continue to run each Monday through the end of October, from noon to 6 p.m. at 446 W Broadway (in front of the parking lot and across the street from Capo).

This year we welcome back Riverdale Farm, out of Groton, whose tables are bursting with a variety of produce, as well as farm-fresh eggs, honey, seedlings to get your own garden started, and vibrant hanging flowers to add some seasonal color to your deck. Riverdale Farm accepts cash and cards, SNAP/EBT, and participates in the Healthy Incentives Program (HIP). If you receive SNAP benefits you are automatically enrolled in HIP and can receive at least $40 worth of fresh produce each month - learn more at www.mass.gov/service-details/massachusetts-healthy-incentives-program-hip.

First-time South Boston vendor Humble Bones Granola also helped launch the market this year. Humble Bones is based in Roxbury and offers 3 varieties of vegan, wheat-free granola (without added oils or fats). They are setting up at many different markets this year, but tell us that so far have had the most success in South Boston!

Our Market staff are working hard to plan the special event days, including live entertainment, that we were unable to hold in 2020. Follow the Market on social media for what’s new and what is coming up.
