Description

South Boston Neighborhood Development Corporation and the South Boston Chamber of Commerce are seeking a part-time Street Fest Assistant for April to October 2024 to help with the planning and production of the annual South Boston Street Fest, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024, with a rain date of Sept. 28.

Street Fest responsibilities include:

  • General administrative and sales/marketing support

  • Assisting with phone and email communications to vendors and suppliers

  • Maintaining the event database

  • Coordinating the distribution of vendor applications via email and in person

Applicants must have some event planning or project management experience. Start and end dates are flexible. This is a combination remote and in-person position working in South Boston.

Qualifications:

  • Some event planning or project management experience

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel

  • Outgoing personality with excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Prior customer service experience a plus

  • Collaboration and organizational skills

  • Self-sufficient with the ability to work independently
