Description
South Boston Neighborhood Development Corporation and the South Boston Chamber of Commerce are seeking a part-time Street Fest Assistant for April to October 2024 to help with the planning and production of the annual South Boston Street Fest, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024, with a rain date of Sept. 28.
Street Fest responsibilities include:
General administrative and sales/marketing support
Assisting with phone and email communications to vendors and suppliers
Maintaining the event database
Coordinating the distribution of vendor applications via email and in person
Applicants must have some event planning or project management experience. Start and end dates are flexible. This is a combination remote and in-person position working in South Boston.
Qualifications:
Some event planning or project management experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel
Outgoing personality with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Prior customer service experience a plus
Collaboration and organizational skills
Self-sufficient with the ability to work independently
