Thank you to SBNDC’s 2020 supporters!

We are kicking off 2021 with a thank you to all of our supporters.

South Boston NDC had a deeper and wider impact last year than we could have imagined – and our donors and volunteers made that possible.

In a truly remarkable show of generosity from this community, the number of individual donors contributing to our efforts doubled in 2020!

Thank you, from all of us here at South Boston NDC, and on behalf of the seniors, veterans, families, individuals and small business owners who received assistance as a result of your donations – South Boston is made better, and stronger, by you.

A $25,000 grant from the Dedham Savings Community Foundation will help South Boston NDC lower the utility costs for tenants in two multifamily buildings that we purchased last year.

The grant was awarded to support weatherization and energy efficiency improvements to two of South Boston NDC's buildings on Woodward Street in Andrew Square, which were purchased in early 2019 through the City of Boston’s Acquisition Opportunity Program (AOP) to convert the market-rate apartments into permanently affordable homes.

Thank You to Our 2020 Supporters!

We rely on donations, sponsorships, and grants to pursue our core mission of fighting displacement of South Boston residents. In 2020 the financial support of our supporters made it possible for South Boston NDC to maintain our momentum while expanding services to respond to the pandemic.
